Summer is on the way

Studying for my college assignments today and I got a taste of the summer of long ago.  Back in those days when I was studying for my Leaving Certificate there was a heat wave.  It was very hard to concentrate on revision and be indoors looking out at the sunshine.  So a lot of the time, I took my books out to the back garden and enjoyed the sunshine and revised at the same time.  Although there was not a heat wave today, the clear skies and sunshine and the fact that I am doing assignments  brought back those memories.  I did not study outside today but took the opportunity to have a cup of tea and a sandwich in the sunshine to recharge my batteries and ponder of those memories of long ago. Now to get back to those assignments.
