Credit card fraud is a wide-ranging term for theft and fraud committed using or involving a payment card, such as a credit card or debit card, as a fraudulent source of funds in a transaction. The purpose may be to obtain goods without paying, or to obtain unauthorized funds from an account (according to Wikipedia)
I had an unusual user experience today. I was checking my banking online and noticed a pending payment that was not familiar. It was for a reasonably large amount and not to an account that I recognised. I contacted the bank who checked everything out and agreed with me that it was fraud. They are rectifying it and issuing me with a new card.
In all my years of online transactions this is the first time this has happened to me and I am in shock. I have always felt safe and now I don’t. I am not sure how I shall recover from this. I booked something in all good faith and it looks like that site was used by another to get my information. Not a good user experience at all.
Nice use of font and images. Well done!
